strip to the East of Dammam city , bordered from
the North by Arab Gulf , Thuqbah and Dhahran from
the South , – Dammam from the East and Arabin
Gulf from the West

Historical View
The name may be derived from the term ( ALKHUBRAH )
which is the plural of KHUBOUR , Al Khobar is the
place where flood and rain water collected , live
stated to grow in Al Khobar after the petrol
exploration gradually followed by urban live instead
of the huts build from palm tree leaves and
calcified walls gathered from the sea called (
Froush ) , till the city enlarged , so this name
gradually forgotten and totally disappeared, as it
is near Bahrain so there is a commercial ship
harbor, through which traders and travelers pass to
during departure and arrival to the Kingdom , and
goods imported through this harbor .
